The Man in Black

I was fortunate as a kid to be exposed to Johnny at an early age. I totally related to him and how he represented all of us who felt marginalized or different. As a song writer and interpreter of songs he made a lasting impression  on me. His influence was embedded for a lifetime . When people would ask me “ why are all your songs dark or sad ? “, I’d say that’s what’s inside and I can’t write happy songs and honestly, would never want to. This is a great song by Nick Lowe as only Johnny could sing it. A song that resonates deep inside of me.
