As the World Turns

As the soap opera and drama of the world swirls around, it’s always hard to keep focus on the smaller more important parts of living , but I try. One would ask, but what can I possibly do ? Well for me this ADK Hike For Hope thing has helped me some what to stay focused and temper the negativity, an unexpected plus on this journey of giving back and forgiveness. It’s been a week since leaving Boston, my second round of Lupron and Casodex and I have to say I don’t remember it being this way…… taking a bit longer to settle down in my system. For those not experiencing chemo of any kind, having chemicals flowing through your entire body, effecting all major organs including your brain in order to fight the raging cancer is not unlike the the world outside. This week however has been loaded with positivity. Our site http://www.adkhikeforhope.org/  was launched  and in just 4 ½ days we are approaching the 50 % mark of our goal of $10,000 . The response, rather the call is being answered and the feeling is of renewal . Our aim is to help others that suffer more than they should and to help empower those that hope has faded.
