Raining Heartbeats

The reaching out by so many responding to our ADK Hike For Hope has been humbling if not an emotional experience.  Cancer can be a very solitary experience itself, so when you get such a response from your calls from the wilderness, one remembers that you’re really not alone.Cancer touches everyone.
In just 2 ½ days we reached 32% of our goal ! The donations, all of which go to a very simple concept,
exercise curbing the avalanche of side effects of hormone and radiation therapy. I believe without a doubt that it also helps to fight the cancer itself. A stronger body produces stronger cells that not only have a much better chance at battling cancer but giving the patient a much better quality of life.
In the end I know that all of us would much rather be talking about something else and certainly not reading a blog detailing one persons struggle with cancer, but all we have to do is look around, we all know someone with cancer. I’m so happy for all my comrades in this struggle that people are listening .
